Advanced Instore Retail Analytics Solution to Enhance Digital Transformation
The Challenge
Governments across the globe had imposed lockdowns to curb the spread of COVID-19. Along with all other businesses, retailers were instructed to incorporate & follow stringent COVID-19 protocol if they were to reopen their doors to the public.
The client identified this as an opportunity to leverage technology and address the problem proactively. To enable retail organizations across the ANZ region to open their businesses after the COVID-19 lockdown, the client wanted to develop and launch a footfall analytics solution that would help them comply with government guidelines while reopening their stores to the public. After evaluating various digital transformation service providers, the client zeroed-in on Black Rock IT Solutions, a company offering software solutions and services to retail organizations across the ANZ region.
Our Solution
Team blackrock proposed the development of a scalable footfall analytics solution. The solution was designed and developed to track and monitor the incoming and outgoing traffic by enabling customers to check-in and check-out at the entrances of retail stores. The system generates personalized QR codes for the customers that can be scanned at the gates as they enter the store. This helps retail stores to trace and track anyone who tested COVID positive before coming to the store.
The footfall analytics solution, powered with advanced analytics, also provides near real-time data about customer demographics and footfall traffic to the retail stores, enabling the stores to offer personalized promotional campaigns. Hosted entirely on the cloud, the solution complies with all security and privacy regulations and will be used by some of Australia & New Zealand’s largest retail chains.
Business Impact
- An efficient solution to trace and track COVID-19 carriers, and help them find appropriate medical help.
- Real-time customer data to track and optimize business performance.
- Opportunity to prompt checked-in users to try out the online ordering facility of the organization’s website.
